While many from my generation would not understand what this is all about, the digital natives -- our children, can quickly grasp the concepts of coding. It is the language of the present and the future. If you've been following me on social media, you may have seen some snapshots of my son during his coding classes and from my blog feature on JACK - Junior Academy for Coding Knowledge, published last summer. He already finished three different courses and he's asking for more.
It's the digital age, and many tweens and teens are very much into YouTube and gaming. My girl has started creating her vlogs while the boy's interest in programming and gaming has grown over the past few years. Last January, he was finally able to attend a coding class at Junior Academy for Coding Knowledge (JACK) and there was no turning back. He loved it! This summer, he already picked his course and I'm actually pleased that he is serious about learning more.
The holidays may be over, but there are just too many things that continue to pile up in our wish-lists. Every year, there's always something new to look forward to, like the latest in fashion, luxury items, and gadgets. I am not techie but I want to be updated 'coz J and the kids are very much into gadgets. Luckily, I got a preview of what's coming from Digital Walker this 2017 and we already have our top picks from the lot.

Bigger is better, especially when it comes to open access data. We are living in the fast-paced digital age where we're always on-the-go and online anytime of the day. While I am a homeshooling stay-at-home-mom, I do have a lot of activities outside the home and you can expect that I'm on my mobile or tablet several hours of the day. So for me, having a big enough data to cover my digital needs affects my productivity and efficiency. Now, our leading mobile services provider Smart Communications is changing the way we enjoy our smartphones with GigaSurf50, the country's first 1GB data offer at P50! Bongga!!!
7038**. 7752**. 72752**. 72476**. 0998-985****. Yes, six digits lang noon. I still remember all our old home phone numbers kasi ako ang suki niyan as soon as I get home from school and done with homework or reviews. From our black dial-up telephone unit, I remember chatting with my classmates about anything and everything. Eventually, PLTD added a 7th digit to our telephone number and updated the phone units. Aside from television, our telephone is my best friend at home. Wala pang internet noon and next to sending mail, calling from the phone is the best way of communication.
A new kid on the smartphone block is coming very soon via Smart! Are you ready for the next Samsung Galaxy phone? My husband got his Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ last year and he can't stop raving about it to family and friends. As a blogger and Instagrammer, I personally liked the vivid photos I took with it, and also the "beauty" selfie mode, heehee. As always, we can count on Smart Communications to offer everyone a chance to get first dibs at the latest Galaxy smartphones.
Drool over the handsome Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and pre-register now at http://smrt.ph/galaxys7. Be one of the first to own this beauty.

Christmas season always makes me sentimental, especially when it comes to family. We had very happy Christmases and I do cherish the times I've spent with my parents and the learning moments I had with them. As a parent myself, my wish is for my kids to have good memories with me as well. I hope to pass on what I've learned from my parents while at the same time help my parents keep up with the times.
I have a list of "wants" in my head right now that I don't know which one I would like to have first. Oops, I got a bag na pala, heehee. But I am wishing for more, and most are the same as what my friends want too! =) Christmas is the perfect season(excuse) to indulge, to reward ourselves, and at the same time, extend generosity and charity as well. It's really a time to be merry. For today, instead of featuring a shopping find, I thought of sharing what my fellow moms are wishing for this holiday season. None of that world peace kind of wish, okay?! Let's all be frivolous, at least for this feature. To make it more interesting, I only asked friends who are in the 40 and above age bracket to give me their top 3 wishes.

I am not a boxing fan. My lolo was. Back in the 80s, I see him watching boxing matches on TV. I never really got interested in this sport coz I feel it's just too violent. But ever since Manny Pacquiao became popular, I learned to appreciate it just a bit, and admired the man. I know that every Filipino is rooting for him in each match, and I'm pretty sure my lolo would be the first to grab a front row seat if he were still here with us.
This is Manny's biggest fight and even if I'm not a big fan of boxing, my family and I admire Manny Pacquiao. The whole country is behind Manny!
If you follow me, @mymomfriday on Instagram, you might have seen my MomFridayVideogram showing our "knockout moves" which I posted last week. :) Here's a screen grab.
I joined the movement initiated by Smart to unite everyone in supporting our pambansang kamao by posting photos or videos and tag #SugodManny.
Join me and rest of the country on social media to rally behind Manny Pacquiao on his upcoming fight this May 2 in Las Vegas. Use #SugodManny and post your own knockout move -- it can be funny, fierce, cute, it doesn't have to be a boxing move.
I still don't know where we'll be watching the fight Usually, we watch his fights at home, but for sure there will be a lot of venues with pay-per-view offers. There's also mobile video streaming.
If you want a front row seat for the May 2 event but can't go to Las Vegas like us, then look no further -- SMART is offering LIVE and commercial‐free video streaming of the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight through the Viewstream app on your mobile device for PhP499 only!
PhP499 offer is for a limited time only for Smart, Sun, and Talk ‘N Text subscribers
Charge your subscription to your Smart postpaid bill or deduct from your prepaid load
No credit card needed
Bonus - watch exclusive training footage shot in the US plus more videos of previous fights, also on Viewstream
Are you excited for the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight? How about you -- where do you watch Manny's boxing matches? =)
Spread the love and support the pambansang kamao with #SugodManny!
Enjoy exclusive Manny Pacquiao stickers on Pico Candy, Viber, Line, and WeChat. There are also Manny Pacquiao-themed camera templates on the Camera 360 app.

We just celebrated Chinese New Year yesterday, and I want to start the year of the Wooden Sheep with a treat. I'm hosting a giveaway courtesy of MUZIP earphones from Japan! First of all, let me tell you that I was not able to use the earphones long enough because the boy and the girl were already fighting over it the moment I showed them my gift. Read more and see what I have in store for you. It's pretty cool!
"MUZIP Zipper Earphones is a leading brand of personal audio accessories from Japan.
MUZIP earphones boast of high quality in-ear speakers with advanced noise-reduction technology for today’s discerning music aficionado and video gaming enthusiasts."
SRP : PhP 2,699 (Introductory price = P1,999)
It's really cute and very cool! My girl got first dibs and claimed it as hers. We got this bright blue MUZIP earphones from the local distributor. After opening the pack, we chose the right size of ear bud for her. MUZIP conveniently comes with 4 different ear bud sizes. It also came with a plastic clip, but it broke as soon as we tried to attach it. Well, it didn't really matter coz it's just an extra add-on feature that we can do without.
My husband and kids are the ones who often use earphones when using their gadgets, whether we're at home or traveling. They each have basic earphones, which came free with when we bought our phones and tablets. It especially comes in handy when they use their gadgets all at the same time. I dread the noise pollution in our room every night once they start playing their videos, games, or shows!
MUZIP earphones feature the best of Japanese ingenuity with it's simple yet functional design.
What we like about MUZIP:
Patented zipper-type cord design makes it tangle-free, easy to use and store
Zipper head slides smoothly, quick and easy to lengthen or shorten the slack of the cord
Light and durable, made with high-grade plastic and military grade fibers running through the cord
Superior sound quality in-ear speakers with noise isolation, professional quality, and great for gamers like my kids
Built-in microphone allows clear and static-free phone conversations and quality voice recording
Comfort-fitting angled ear bud shape
4 sizes of in-ear buds -- fits kids and adults
Compatible with almost all types of smartphones and tablets like iPhone, iPad, Samsung - with 3.5 mm media jack
Comes in 9 fun colors: Pastel Green, Emerald Green, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Pink, Blue, Paste Blue, Red
So here's how they use the MUZIP earphones -- for iPad or laptop. Nakikihiram na lang si kuya minsan from the girl since it's officially hers na. When using earphones, just be sure to have clean ears before you put them on! Good thing, our MUZIP has 4 pairs of removable ear buds. =)
