Online shopping is a hard habit to break. The ease and convenience of shopping with just a few swipes and taps make it all the more enticing and satisfying. It saves me a lot of time and effort while being free from traffic! For international purchases, I've been ordering from Amazon for almost two decades now. Items are shipped to my sister-in-law in the U.S., who consolidates all our orders in a balikbayan box. We just have to wait long since it takes at least a month by sea to get here. But I got introduced to My Shopping Box, an international parcel delivery and courier service company that ships orders from the U.S. and Europe, by air or sea, and delivers directly to our doorstep here in the Philippines.

GoodFood.ph Ready-To-Drink Subscription and Delivery Service
Moms and homemakers like me will always find ways to make our days more organized, productive, and less stressful, even when spending many hours a day online. Whether for work, socializing, or shopping, I try to find reliable online services that offer the best value and convenience.
From travel needs and electronics, to fashion, food and groceries -- I love the ease and time-saving elements of purchasing our needs and wants at the comfort of our home or on my mobile phone while on the road. Ultimately, we all want to be able to spend more time with family and on things that matter. Weeks ago, I attended an event that introduced us to Nestle's baon subscription service through GoodFood.ph and I was impressed by this initiative. Read on!

My Summer Beauty Finds
My beauty routine is boring. But when I find a good product that suits me, I stick with it for years. This summer, I had a chance to try awesome new products that are now part of my basic skin care and beauty must-haves: A face mask, a face powder, and a lip tint.

Mom-Grocer Shops at SYSU Food Hub
I've always expressed how I enjoy grocery shopping. I consider it my me-time, and during those weekly rounds, I've discovered lots of good products that became our kitchen staples. Many of my favorite Mom-Grocer finds are from SYSU International, and it's not surprising. SYSU is a leading distributor of global brands that we have patronized for many years, such as San Remo, McCormick, Lee Kum Kee, Tabasco, and homegrown brand Clara Olé. And here's a new discovery that's worth sharing with all of you -- The Food Hub by SYSU, their retail store in Quezon City.

Pasko na, Bonus Time na!
Every December, when I was still working, I always look forward to my Christmas bonus. Siyempre after 12 months of toiling, year-end bonuses are the icing on the cake talaga. While I am no longer working, I still earn from projects that come my way, and of course, ang bonus ni husband ang inaabangan namin, heehee! Having something extra to look forward to this month, I already try to plan on how we can spend wisely, and how we can surprise our family and friends as we share our blessings.
I think we can all agree na mas magastos talaga pag holiday season, so we should always find ways for our hard-earned money to go a long way. After covering all the basic needs, how do we spend our extra from year-end bonuses? Here are the usual suspects, in no particular order:
- Travel
- Jewelry
- Gadgets
- Pampering services
- Fine dining
- Surprise gifts for the family
- Home improvements
- Specialty foods and beverages
After watching this fun and entertaining video by our Star for All Seasons, Vilma Santos, and his lucky boy Luis, I am reminded that as a homemaker, I need to be frugal and always discerning when it comes to spending. Para laging may extra pa to save and to surprise our loved ones as we create memories with them!
You should watch and share this video to know what I mean. =) Nakakatuwa itong PUREGOLD "concert" with #ViLucky!
While there are times when we like to splurge on certain things, most often, I want value-for-money with my purchases, even with my groceries. This is always the case when we shop at PUREGOLD, always panalo! Sulit na sulit kasi when I buy our dry goods there, especially when in bulk. I know a lot of people who make PUREGOLD their shopping destination because of the amazing deals they can find. It's a one-stop-shop too. Kaya this Christmas, let's all make the most of what we have and share with our families. Pasko na! PUREGOLD na! =)

First-Timer's Shopping Guide at Honestbee
My shopping habits have never been the same in recent years. I can't remember my first online transaction, but I know one of my earliest purchases were from Amazon.com around fifteen years ago. Late adapter nga ako eh coz I really prefer seeing and feeling the actual merchandise before I buy. The usual items we order there are electronics, toys, clothing and footwear, and dry goods. Locally, items I shop for online are specialty foods, apparel and accessories that I may not find in stores. Nowadays, I think I spend an equal amount of time buying stuff online and in retail shops. Then last week, I was introduced to honestbee -- a game-changer in the whole online shopping experience.

Always Panalo si Mommy at Puregold
I have a confession: I consider grocery time as "me time". Feel ko talaga mag-grocery shopping mag-isa coz I find it relaxing while I take my time browsing through the aisles, comparing prices, and discovering new products and good deals. Marami niyan sa Puregold 'coz they priced their goods at more affordable prices. I even made hashtags #MomGrocer and #MomFindsPH because aside from eating, I truly enjoy going to the supermarket. Mana ata ako sa mama ko, eat and shop, heehee. But, there are days when my kids make it more fun to shop too, kasi I learn about their preferences. Sometimes, they even surprise me by picking out grocery items they know I like and what we need for home. That's always panalo for me!

Tokyo Winter Holiday, part 3: Shizuoka - Mt. Fuji and Snow Town Yeti
The closest to snow we ever got to experience was at Star City Snow World several years ago. When the kids tried ice skating, nag-collect sila ng shaved ice, formed into balls and pretended it was snow, hahaha! Since then, they kept asking when we can exerience actual snow. It was only last December that we got the chance to visit a ski resort in Tokyo, saw the snow-capped Mt. Fuji, and witnessed a (light) snow fall on our last day. Swerte! Very memorable talaga especially for the children.

Tokyo Winter Holiday, part 2: Tsukiji - Akihabara - Ikebukuro
When we were planning our trip to Tokyo late last year, one of the must-see places I included in our itinerary is the famous Tsukiji Fish Market. My foodie brother and I really wanted to visit the market and sample the freshest seafood we can try, even if we had to drag the kids there early in the morning.

Tokyo Winter Holiday, part 1: Shinjuku - Shibuya - Harajuku
We loved Tokyo! It was my family's first trip to Japan last December and I wished we could have stayed longer. Bitin talaga ang 5 days. My brother and his family joined us on this winter holiday vacation and one of the objectives of this trip was to visit a ski resort for the snow, as requested by the kids. Well, lahat naman kami gusto rin maka-experience ng snow =).
There's so much to explore in Tokyo alone, so ang hirap gumawa ng itinerary that will accommodate the different interests of the adults, teens, tweens and toddler. I've asked some friends who've been to Tokyo for their recommendations and travel tips. Lots of research too from online resources, some of which I included at the end of this post. Eventually, I was able to come up with a feasible list of activities and places to visit for our group. I would have wanted more sight-seeing though.

It's iQUSHION Ergonomic Flip Flops for Me
When it comes to footwear, comfort and style are my main priority. With my current on-the-go laid back lifestyle, you'll often find me wearing sandals, flats or sneakers. I only wear flip flops to the beach, by the pool, or when going to pilates studio. I don't wear them for long walks coz they're straight flat and no foot support whatsoever. My perception of flip flops changed when I was introduced to iQushion by FitFlop.

Holiday Clothes Shopping at ZIPPY Kidstore
Dressing up kids 9 to 14 is not the easiest task. I mean, as big kids, they have already developed their own tastes and preferences, so nahihirapan na akong pumili for them. Many times, I buy something that end up not being worn. There are only a handful of shops that sell stylish clothes that cater to this specific age group so that's another challenge for me as a mom with a tween and a teen. One brand that got my approval is ZIPPY Kidstore from Portugal.

8 Reasons to Shop at Shopwise Hypermarket
I take pleasure in grocery-shopping as much as shopping for clothes and shoes. Crazy? Maybe. I find it therapeutic. Navigating the cart through each aisle, browsing and reading labels, discovering new items to try, and scoring good deals. We do weekly one-stop shopping at the supermarket to restock everything.

Family Shoe Shopping at RES|TOE|RUN
I love shoes! I enjoy shopping for shoes, not just for myself but for J and the kids as well. To be honest, it is quite difficult to find hip and functional shoes for the boy and the girl coz they're both in the tween and teen ages. We usually go from one store to another just to see what's available for them. Problem solved for us coz Res|Toe|Run has expanded their children's footwear line in the past two years. So there's now more choices for the whole family in one store!
