Mom-Friday OOTD: Events and Tambay Mode

Let's talk about fashion muna.  It's been almost two years na pala since my last Mom-Friday OOTD feature!  I usually post on Instagram if I'm in the mood to take a selfie or OOTD shot. I am terrible at taking selfies and most of my clothes naman are not branded and not IG worthy. Some friends ask me about my outfit posts from time to time so I share my fashion finds as well. Kid-Style: Rain-Ready OOTDs

Rainy season is here and I'm both happy and sad. Since it's back to school also, rainy days can be a major inconvenience and cause class suspensions. On the upside, it's always fun to dress up and have different sets of outerwear to keep us dry, especially for my kids. As a practical shopper, I always check out SM Kids for trendy and affordable outfits for my tween boy and sporty girl.

Mom-Finds: Skechers GOwalk Shoes

It's not yet the last Friday of the month, but I have other plans for Halloween next week. So, I'm now sharing with you my latest Mom-Finds, and I've been raving about it on social media and to friends as well because it's the lightest and bounciest pair of shoes I've worn -- rubber shoes pa yan ha! My style is also not sporty, so I welcomed this style change which even the husband appreciates, all thanks to Skechers GOwalk! =)

Mom-Finds: From Celestina to Ines

Last Friday of the month:  Shopping / Finds and Faves for Girls

This month's favorite finds are not summer-related.  It's all about the girl and her newest fashion pieces that she's quite fond of lately.  She loves anything "fancy and colorful". I don't know if that's typical of girls her age, but at 7, she is now more comfortable wearing dresses, partial to bright colors, likes wearing her low wedge shoes at home, and wearing bolder accessories.

Celestina & Co.

She has been very fascinated with the beauty of the peacock feather.  Whenever she finds peacock prints or faux feather accents, she wants to look and touch them.  One time, she even asked me to buy a scarf she spotted only because it has a beautiful peacock design on it.  Then we saw this gorgeous piece from Celestina & Co. on Instagram.  She wanted one for herself.

We clipped this "Pink Peacock Fascinator" on her plain black hairband, also from Celestina, since she prefers hairbands over pins and clips.  It looks and feels so regal, don't you agree? =)

Ines Moda Infantil

The girl has been on the leggings+blouse phase for the longest time.  I was the one who grew tired of her "uniform". =) We don't shop often, but when we do, I try to swing her towards getting a nice dress, and I'm glad she's cooperative, heehee... On that note, when I learned that Ines Moda Infantil will be having a stall in a school bazaar near our area, I made sure to drop by - I bought one as gift and another one to bring home for the girl.

I scored this stylish "Scarlet" dress with a 50s vibe. It has a distinct neckline and box-pleated skirt, which I really love.  The surprise was this -- the high neck side is the front (think Jackie O. with her high-neck-A-line dresses) and the back is the one with the buttons. I actually got confused but the tag was on the buttoned side, so it's really the back.

Mom-Friday OOTD: Shrug It!

Introducing... my first ever "outfit of the day", a.k.a. OOTD, post in the blog, not counting the Mom-Style features.  I'm not good at this.  I mean, to begin with, this is not a fashion blog despite having a few style posts here and there.  I don't know how to pose, I don't even have a covetable wardrobe! =)  For the new year, I counted only two #momfridayOOTD posts on my Instagram.  See them below.


This is a completely random post, but I'm feeling it today.  So, here's something new and unexpected for you, but please excuse the awkward pose... and the cropped head... and the un-styled shot.  =)

January 28, 2014 :  I wore my (really old) white tee and black pants with flats when I brought my kid to school.  I then changed to pointy pumps and thew over this long, billowy green printed shrug to dress up the whole look for a luncheon event.

The shrug did it. Got lucky with this piece brought in from Bali by my friend. Can't find one locally that's as nice as this one.

Two weeks ago :  Here's my first #momfridayOOTD IG post, after I had my new year spa-pedi session I shared here.  I'm in a blue ELIN Bernice dress, tied with a Zara heather gray cardigan.
