Easter Eggventure Island in Century City Mall

Hello everyone! How did you spend the (Holy Week) break?
We don't usually plan anything during the Holy week, and on occasion, we simply drive to an out-of-town destination or do a Visita Iglesia on Maundy Thursday. This year, we had nothing planned and only looked forward to the Easter Sunday event we got invited to at Century City Mall. We're excited because it's our first time to join an egg hunt and celebration like this! =)

I can't remember the last time we had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was always DIY activities with the cousins or at kiddie parties.  This is the first time we were invited to an Easter event, so the kids were extra excited to go to Century City Mall and asked the cousins to join the fun at the “Eggventure Island” yesterday.

Century City Mall's pirate-themed Easter celebration promised an adventure-filled party with lots of activities for families, and where lucky egg-hunters can win an iPad Mini!

We arrived early so we can have lunch at the much talked about Hole In Wall.  I want to go back again to try the many food outlets -- so much yumminess in one roof, I tell you.

After lunch, we proceeded to the activity center to claim our tickets. There was along queue for the and I wished it was more organized. A public announcement on how to proceed with the registration and the egg hunt would have helped. Since we were already pre-registered as guests, my kids got their Eggventure Island tickets and treasure maps for the egg hunt so they can already begin the search.

Our goal is to find the golden eggs so we all went straight to the "Golden Egg Cave" by the cinema lounge. Actually, there's one giant golden egg for the top prize. Luckily, my girl and my niece found one golden egg each, aside from the regular eggs that they grabbed from everywhere! Too bad they didn't find more gold ones, heehee... :)

After the egg hunt in the participating stores around mall, we all went back to the activity center and the kids availed of the other treats from their tickets.

There were several booths like balloon twisting and face painting. The kids also had some play time at the big bouncy pirate ship, and snacked on popcorn, snow cone, and cotton candy.

They were all happy sweaty kids that afternoon, and they even got to meet the pirates, "Captain Jack Sparrow" and "Will Turner"! =)

Families were also entertained by a Pirate Show featuring magicians, fire dancer and fire eater. It was the first time my kids saw women dance and "eat" fire, which kept them at the edge of their seats!

After the Pirate Show, all the egg hunters were called and the eggs were counted. My gang got a box full of loot bags from Century City Mall and gifts from participating tenants. They saved the prized of the golden eggs for the awarding portion.

There were some pretty awesome costumes and this junior Jack Sparrow got the award. April birthday celebrants were also give special gifts, and then the winners of the Golden Eggs were called for the awarding of the prizes.

My girl got gift certificates from Toys R Us, and the big winner is my friend Rowena (Animetric) and her daughter -- they found the giant Golden Egg which won them a brand new iPad Mini 2! Congratulations, girls!

It was one memorable and egg-citing Easter afternoon for all of us! The kids went home super tired but very, very happy, especially with all the treats and eggs they got to bring home too, heehee!
