Foodie Friday: English Sausage Pasta

I've posted several dishes on my Instagram/Facebook page where recipes were requested by some of my followers.  I could not share them here immediately so I am doing it one a time, and with the recent poll I did to help me decide, pasta had the most votes. So, here's my sausage pasta.


Beef, chicken, veggie, or pasta?

You know I'm all for quick and easy dishes, and this is no exception.  I simply added smokey King Sue sausages to my spaghetti bolognese for that added savory twist to our usual meat sauce. I made this spaghetti dish months ago even before I got these goodies from King Sue.  I like their sausages, but forgot if I used Italian or English Sausage for this recipe. Sorry, I honestly can't remember - use either, both will taste good with this sauce. =)
A selection of hams, bacon, tocino, sausage, chorizo

ENGLISH SAUSAGE PASTA

2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small white onion, chopped
200g ground beef
5-6 sausages (Italian or English) - diced
1 Sweet Style spaghetti sauce
1 Italian Style spaghetti sauce
cooked spaghetti noodles

To prepare:
Cook spaghetti as instructed (about 300g)
Mince garlic and chop onion.
Dice sausages.

To cook:
While pasta is cooking, heat a pan and sauté garlic and onion in oil.
Add ground beef and cook for about 3 minutes, then add sausages. Continue to sauté until sausages are browned and cooked through.
Pour spaghetti sauce and simmer.

To serve:
Pour meat and sausage sauce over cooked spaghetti and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Serve immediately.


I never really liked hot dogs in my spaghetti, so this is my version with more flavorful premium sausages for a meaty, chunky sauce - a meat-lovers' delight! =)  Try this!
