Kid-Style: Paddington Bear™ Meets babyGap

Paddington bear was found by Mr. and Mrs. Brown at the Paddington Station in London. He's a very curious and polite bear, and loves going on adventures. Paddington wears an old bush hat, a hooded blue duffle coat fastened with wooden toggles, and sometimes, with a pair of Wellington boots.  Do you know the story of the Paddington Bear™?

During last Mother's Day weekend, I was invited to a sale and special storytelling event at the GAP store in Shangri-la mall. I have not read the whole story of Paddington but I find the illustrations from the book really cool.  I like the clothes from GAP, especially for my kids (and when they were babies).  We used to order from the US through my sis-in-law, and also receive stylish babyGAP and Gap Kids wardrobe as gifts. Obviously, I was curious about GAP's limited edition Paddington Bear™collection so I went to check them out with my SoMoms blogger friends.

For their weekend sale, GAP welcomed kids and their families at the store with free face painting for everyone.

The extra treat that afternoon was a brief storytelling by these two gorgeous celebrity moms, Amanda Jacob and Bianca Elizalde, who alternately read a chapter from the Paddington Bear™ storybook.  It turned out to be a delightful story and got me interested to look for the book and introduce it to my kids! :)

The sweet, lovable, and adventurous Paddington Bear™ is a perfect match for babyGap. The graphic artwork from the story are featured on the clothes' designs, as you can see on some of the pieces from the collection below - from basic tees, printed tops, dresses, footed onesies, and more.

How stylish is this duffle coat! I can imagine my new baby nephew will look so hip in this coat come rainy season, heehee... the only thing missing in this picture is the bush hat!
