Handcrafted Home Décor and Gifts at Chrysara NEST Manila

I am constantly on the look-out for interesting home accents and décor for my home.  Our house is still a work in progress even after our move five years ago.  We went for modern Asian-inspired accessories and furniture for the interior design.  We like items that are "kid-friendly", not too expensive, good quality, and could make nice conversation pieces. Hopefully, we can decorate and add more accessories around the house next year.  

A few weeks ago, I got the chance to visit the newly-opened Chrysara NEST - a Pampanga-based export company that produces fine handcrafted décor, unique gift items, and home furnishings for almost 30 years.  A family-owned and managed home decor company headed by Alice Reyes, Chrysara (named after her children, Chris and Sara) creates items that showcase Filipino craftsmanship.  Some of their collections were even featured in high-end international boutiques, magazines, and catalogs like Restoration Hardware and Wisteria.

Their Manila shop is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Mandaluyong City.  As soon as I enter the store, I didn't know where to start looking.  I was impressed by the unique designs and quality finish of each item, many of which were given that aged, antique finish.  Their 2-story retail store is just a stone's throw away from my place, so I'm all the more excited to bring my husband there once we've decided on re-decorating and adding finishing touches to our sparse interiors.

One of the first things that caught my eye was this Christmas icon.  Yuletide season is here so it's inspiring to decorate and add more items like Santa here, which has a small drawer at the skirt. Useful and decorative.

Chrysara NEST Manila carries more Christmas items like belens, tree ornaments, angels, and so many unique gift items such as decorative boxes, candleholders, bookends, and jewelry holders.  Materials are mostly made of wood, MDF, and resin.
