Kid-Style: Fun Prints and Bright Colors for Summer

Shopping for girls is a hundred times more fun than shopping for boys, with a wider choice of clothes and styles to choose from. I feel lucky that I have a girl who also appreciates fashion, from clothes, to footwear, to accessories.

Since the girl turned three, I've been having a hard time buying clothes and shoes for her since she already has a mind of her own when it comes to dressing.  It was so easy to buy on impulse especially with the vast selection available in the market today but I need to control myself.  Lots of hits and misses (and waste of money) along the way.  She's 6 now and I think I know her taste already. So far, she's been liking, and wearing, what I buy for her.  Among our usual shopping destinations is SM.  Affordable fashion at it's best.  They really have it all! Everything we need from head to toe.

We missed the SM Kids' Fashion Summer Pool Party a few weeks ago.  We were supposed to shop from their summer collection and wear it at the event.  It was only last weekend that I was able to check out their newest line in SM Megamall.  Thanks to SM, I was able to buy a whole new wardrobe for the girl!

The sales attendants were all nice and allowed me to take photos of the merchandise that caught my eye.

Her favorite is this scarf dress (2nd from the top)... sorry, she refused to be photographed so I had to steal some shots while at the mall ealier. =)

100 peso tank tops! Perfect fit... she loves animal prints too so she gave me a thumbs up for these.

Basic tees on sale - 2 for P250!

We can't get enough of legging, and luckily, I found these in her fave bright colors.

My personal favorite is this tiered tent blouse - layers of creamy tulle and crocheted fabric with deep blue Peter Pan collar, and brooch.  Perfect for a summer party!

Of course, this summer will not be complete with swim wear.  After the Holy Week, I bought my kids new sets to replace the old ones they've been using the past 2 to 3 years.  It's about time they get new ones.  The girl chose her own rash guard set, and I got her this lycra and mesh racerback swimsuit.

The boy took swimming classes so we bought two sets for him in classic styles and colors.
