Growing up, I've never been a fan of shorts and minis. I guess it's because I was too skinny my whole life (it was a major insecurity for me) and was never confident wearing them in public - unless necessary, like on the beach of course! I am most comfortable in pants. If I have to wear a dress or skirt, it should be knee-length at the very least, and I'm good to go.
My most recent shopping find is this Miya Maxi Dress by And Apparel - another versatile piece from one of my favorite online stores, Catalogue63.
Miya Maxi @ PhP 1,250 |
This style comes in three colors - purple, gray, and black. I originally wanted the gray, but it was sold out by the time I decided to purchase. I went for the black instead. It was a good thing I ended up with black since my accessories really popped against this classic dark color.
I love everything about it!
- Comfortable cut and fabric, not clingy
- Side pockets
- Drawstring waist
- Floor length
- Easy to slip into and take off
This chic maxi can be dressed up in many ways. I first wore with gold flat sandals. In these photos, I matched it with my comfy black gladiator sandals.
- Put on a bold, chunky necklace
- Cover-up with a bright colored cardigan
- Add some glam with gold accessories
- Throw on a printed scarf and tie/wear in different ways
The dress is comfortable enough for the beach or for shopping, and also perfect for casual dates and parties, lunch or dinner with friends.
