It's hard to refuse an invitation to a spa treat, especially if it's from The Spa. Good thing it was still summer break and I was able to go and indulge in their latest treatments.

As soon as we arrived, we were ushered into our private room with four convertible recliner-beds, equipped with LCD TV. The room is an ideal venue for an intimate "sparty" among close friends and family. Our first treatment for the afternoon was The Spa Reflexology.
"The Spa Reflexology : a healing massage that focuses on particular pressure points of the soles of the feet, where sensory nerves of the internal organs that spread throughout the body are mainly gathered. A different massage experience awaits clients as hands, fingers and a wood stick with cream and oil are used unlike other massages that use thumbs, palms and elbows."

The Spa Reflexology treatment began with a warm foot soak (top photo), followed by a head, back, and limbs massage. Then moving down to the lower legs and feet.
What I like about The Spa Reflexology:
- Rejuvenating foot reflexology - healing massage through specific pressure points that provide relief from body aches and stiffness; promote overall health and prevention of diseases; boost blood circulation
- Combined with no-frills body massage - you don't even need to disrobe!
- 60-minute service for only PhP 550 per session
This treatment is something that people in a rush can also enjoy since you don't need to shower nor disrobe to enjoy this service. Just wear comfy clothes, clear you mind, sit back, and relax!
After our soothing reflexology experience, next came the luxe facial treatment -- the Purity Facial with Organics. This facial is perfect for people with sensitive skin since products used are made from 100% natural ingredients.
This purity facial makes use of Selvert Thermal from Spain. It's products are rich in minerals and has a combination of two extraordinary thermal waters: "Thermal Water from the Spanish Pyrenees (rich in silicates, Sodium and Chloride) well known for its antiallergenic and healing properties and from the Swiss Alps (rich in Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese, Strontium, Iron and Sulphate) known to offer anti ageing and free anti-radicals action."
Here's my 60-minute Purity Facial treatment, step by step (please excuse my "zombie look", hehehe):
1. Cleansing Scrub
My therapist applied an exfoliating cream and massaged my face and neck
Deep cleansing action and exfoliation stimulates blood flow, wipes away dead skin cells, and prepares my skin for the next step.
2. Intensive Purifying Gel
Applying the gel helps open clogged pores in preparation for comedone extraction (if you wish), without the need for facial steaming.
The gel is purifying, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, soothing.
3. Gentle Cleanser
Made from organic rose water, this step removes the gel previously applied and helps skin restore its natural pH balance. It has an astringent effect and an invigorating action that soothes and relaxes highly sensitive skin.
4. Hydrating/ Oxygenating Active Care
After cleansing, this serum is applied to supply oxygen to the skin with a lymphatic drainage massage to ensure complete penetration of the product and drain out toxins.
5. Veil Mask with Herbal Infusion
A veil mask is placed with a mixture of cellulose and organic herbal tea infusions (camomille, mint, white tea, and green tea) for a combination of effects, like anti-inflammatory, oxygenating, regenerating, and repairing.
6. Hydrating/ Oxygenating Emulsion
Finally, a silky emulsion is massaged on the face to revitalize, hydrate, brighten and improve skin elasticity. It leaves the skin moisturized and nourished.

The organic facial is best for all skin types, even for sensitive skin. My face did feel so clean, fresh, and supple after the treatment. It doesn't come cheap at PhP 2,700 - 2,900, depending on the room. It's an indulgence and great for maintaining healthy youthful skin when done every month.
