Staying Healthy this Holiday Season

Christmas is just around the corner and we are all so excited for our upcoming holiday vacation in Japan! It's gonna be our first trip there so I want to make sure everything will be in order and we'll all be in the best of health in the days leading to our trip. Kaya todo vitamins na ang mga kids and I'm trying to keep our environment clean. Mahirap na... I don't want any of us to get sick during this most wonderful time of the year.

Backstory:
Over the past several weeks, my kids and I took turns in "sick bay". Before we went on a weekend getaway last month, the boy and the girl got hit with mild flu one after the other. Buti na lang it only lasted two to three days. They were fully recovered by the time we left for Tagaytay, so they really had a blast.

After that out-of-town trip, ako na ang nagkasakit! It was the worst flu I've had which developed into pneumonia. I'm well now and was given a clear pass by my doctor. Part of me was thankful that it was I who got the bug instead of my kids. Mas mahirap kasi when the children's health get compromised. Kawawa ang mga bata and it's more stressful for the whole family.  I was praying that we won't get sick anymore especially in the coming weeks. Mag-papasko na!

I know there are so many causes of getting sick, and we can't control external factors. But everything starts at home and here are some simple measures to avoid even common coughs and colds:
  • Wash hands regularly and avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth
  • Practice proper hygiene
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick
  • Keep immediate surroundings clean and sanitized
  • Allow air to circulate; provide proper ventilation in your home or work place
  • Drink enough fluids and eat nutrient-rich food
  • Take food supplements that help boost the immune system
Lumaki ako na tadtad ng vitamins and I was generally a healthy kid.  I thank my mom for that. I want the same for my kids coz I know that taking their vitamins regularly will be beneficial for their overall wellness. Minsan lang, I forget to give them their vitamins! My husband and I took FERN-C before but we were not consistent in supplementing as well. I know I need to be more diligent this time. Mas matindi na kasi ang mga virus ngayon so we all need to be more vigilant. Good thing there's also FERN-C kidz -- vitamin C with Zinc.

What makes FERN-C kidz different?
  • FERN-C kidz uses Sodium Ascorbate, the non-acidic form of vitamin C
    • less acidic as compared to other vitamin C’s in the market
    • Sodium Ascorbate vitamin C is more reactive in building connective tissues and antibody structures
    • enables the vitamin C to get easily absorbed by the body for maximum benefits
  • FERN-C kidz is formulated with Zinc
    • helps build resistance from illnesses and common diseases
    • combination of vitamin C and zinc boosts immunity
    • essential for children's growth, sensory and cognitive development
  • Made by FERN-C, the number one Sodium Ascorbate vitamin C brand in the Philippines
  • The only vitamin C syrup that has the Quali-C seal -- assurance of world class quality and efficacy
Aside from the health benefits, we like the zesty orange flavor of FERN-C kidz. We're now making FERN-C kidz a daily habit for our children. You should too! It's available in leading drugstores, supermarkets, and FERN Kiosks nationwide. It comes in two bottle sizes: 60ml (Php62.00) and 120ml (Php119.00).

Just a couple more weeks and Christmas break begins. Make sure your kids would get to enjoy this season’s celebrations by giving them FERN-C kidz regularly. Wishing you all a happy healthy holiday season! =)
