Mom-Finds: Prairie Dress for Girls

Shopping with my little girl is something I enjoy immensely.  There's just so much cute stuff for girls and one just can't have enough dresses and shoes!  I am certain that all you moms, aunts, God parents of these tiny misses would understand what I am talking about.  How could you not resist buying these pretty little things for them?

We went to the girl's section of SM department store a month ago to find a jean jacket, as a promise to my girl.  She just can't get over the attire of Brittany (the lead Chipette), who's sporting this cropped jacket in the Chipmunks movie.  The jacket was spotted immediately, fitted, and bought for a steal at only P499.75.

What caught my eye were these racks filled with dainty maxi and prairie dresses in an assortment of colors, textures, and various prints and patterns.  The store carried a whole collection of cowboy-prairie inspired pieces for boys and girls.  It was quite a challenge to choose just one.

I decided on this maxi in blue-pink-white plaid and floral print combo with smocking detail.

Light, airy, cool, with a country-girl appeal, this dress is a winner. My girl wore it under her new jean jacket matched with pink suede boots one fine school day.  

Overdressed for school?  Maybe.

Happy and confident?  Definitely! :)

I am soooo late with the maxi fever! Don't know what's stopping me. But if ever I do get one for myself, these are the silhouettes I would want and can confidently pull off. ;)
