The title said it all. One fine Saturday, I had the pleasure of being treated to a day of pampering, shopping, and dining at Discovery Primea Hotel in Makati. The Mothers Who Brunch (MWB), led by my friends Mish and Sab, organized this intimate gathering. I know they always prepare something special for their guests at every event, so I was really looking forward to this weekend "me time" treat for us moms!
The invitation says we will all meet at Discovery Primea's swanky Gilarmi Lounge, then proceed with a tour of the hotel. After the tour, we will be treated to a pampering session, then we'll have a sumptuous lunch at Restaurant Tapenade.
First stop: FLAME restaurant at the 16th floor offers modern Continental cuisine with an Asian twist. They have a bright and spacious dining areas, with open kitchen setting, an impressive wine bar featuring an Enomatic 8-bottle wine dispenser, and an amazing panoramic view of the metropolis.
Second stop: Business Flat guest room and Primea Suite
Families and discerning travelers will appreciate the spacious and well-appointed rooms and suites ranging from a 40-sqm. Business Flat to a 125-sqm. Primea 2-Bedroom Loft, perfect for extended stays and families staycations.
This Business Flat features twin beds, luxe toilet and bath, separate bath tub with LED TV, it's own Nespresso coffee machine.
The Primea Suite features two cozy bedrooms, spacious living room, fully-furnished kitchen and dining room, on top of all the amenities expected from a five-star hotel.
Fourth stop: 37 Degrees Gym and Terazi Spa. These state-of-the-art facilities cater to health and wellness enthusiasts.
Mish and Sab went with Chessy and Helene for their customized hair and scalp treatment at Toni & Guy salon. They came out all fresh and fabulous for our lunch. For those of us who missed this, Toni & Guy also gave us complimentary treatment that we can avail of next time, so Tina and I are already planning our schedule so we can go back together. =)
After all that relaxation, we all gathered for our late lunch at Restaurant Tapenade, an all-day Mediterranean restaurant with a carefully-curated menu and Gourmet Breakfast. We were all salivating over the mouthwatering spread!

Beauty and simplicity is highlighted in the sleek marble and wood interiors of the quaint chapel. This was a pleasant surprise for me since this is the first time I've visited a hotel that housed a place of worship.
Fourth stop: 37 Degrees Gym and Terazi Spa. These state-of-the-art facilities cater to health and wellness enthusiasts.
Part of our moms day out at Discovery Primea, we were offered to choose between a hair treatment at posh Toni & Guy salon, or a facial or body massage at Terazi Spa. I was in the mood for a full-body massage so the group was split up after the tour. Before we had our respective treatments, we visited the last stop of the tour -- Poolside and Lily Lifestyle Shop.
There were two separate pool areas -- one for residents' exclusive use, and this one for hotel guests.
Did I mention we also did some shopping?
LILY is the gift shop at the hotel, where they feature labels from local brands that showcase top-notch Filipino craftsmanship. Clothes, shoes, fashion and home accessories, snack and refreshments, there were so many good finds at Lily Lifestyle Shop and each of us got to pick out a gift before we left, and some even shopped for more. =) I've posted fab items we found here over at MomFindsPH on Instagram.
Spa time!!!
Together with Maggie, Tina, and Seanta, we were led back to the spa for our chosen treatments. Discovery Primea is the only hotel that offers hammam, authentic Turkish bath at Terazi Spa.
My Signature Message was delightful and so relaxing. The therapist assigned to me (sorry I missed her name!) said it's Hawaiian Lomi Lomi method. She was very careful and thoughtful all throughout the session and I can honestly say it was one of best full body massages I've had in a while. Highly recommended!
