VitaPops Launch with Celebrity Moms Donita Rose and Daphne Oseña-Paez

Fun, yummy, and healthy - that's the promise of VitaPops, the newest vitamin product from Unilab, makers of leading vitamin C brand Ceelin.

When I first received our VitaPops samples almost two months ago, I was more excited to have my kids try it since I was very familiar with the "pop rocks" candy from the 80s! =)  Of course, I had to try it first, and I liked it!  Sorry it took me ages, but finally, I can share what I think about this product here.

I'm sure many of you parents out there may have tried, or at least heard of, VitaPops by now.  This vitamin tastes like candy and it's actually something good for the kids -- Vitamin C in the form of pop rocks powder that tickles, pops and fizzles once you put inside your mouth.

My family and I were also able to attend the unveiling of the product held at Active Fun, Bonifacio Global City last August 25, where VitaPops introduced their official celebrity mom endorsers, Donita Rose and Daphne Oseña-Paez.

Donita hosted the event, while guest pediatrician and educator Dr. Liz Inciong shared her tips and expertise at the mom-to-mom discussion during the program.  There was also a room set-up with a host of interesting children's activities to entertain the little ones while the mommies listen to the talk.

"VitaPops is the most fun and exciting Vitamin C in the market because it comes in pop-rocks format -- it fizzles and pops inside the mouth.  This makes taking Vitamin C an experience that kids will enjoy, while ensuring that they remain healthy as it boosts their immune system," said Donita.

"I like giving VitaPops to my children, but what's more amazing is how my kids love it! They immediately liked ti the moment they first tried it.  They like ti so much that they immediately told their friends about it," shared Daphne.

After sharing their own parenting joys and woes, both Donita and Daphne proved that they embody what the brand advocates -- seriously fun goodness in parenting, striking the right balance between fun and health.

I also had my few minutes on stage with Donita and other mom bloggers.  We shared our initial experience with VitaPops, and why we all like and approve of it.

What is VitaPops, and why I give this product to my kids:
  • First and only pop rocks Vitamin C in the country
  • Contains only 1/5 the amount of sugar compared with regular Vitamin C
  • Formulated with Sodium Ascorbate = Tummy-Friendly = Non-Acidic -- can be consumed on an empty stomach
  • Can be taken without water
  • Fun and unique formulation that's great-tasting, like orange candy
  • Convenient and handy to take along anywhere -- comes in single-dose sachet so no wastage
  • Safe and healthy, FDA-approved, made by a trusted name in healthcare
  • Good for kids 7 - 12 years old, but safe for children as young as 4 years old with proper guidance from parents during vitamin powder intake

My girl is 5 and she takes at least 1 sachet of VitaPops everyday.  She still has her Ceelin chewables and we alternate it depending on her mood.  My older boy on the other hand still prefers syrup.  He has oral sensitivity issues and is not fond of candy, nor the fizzing sensation.  He did like the flavor though.  It's always best for parents to have kids try a small amount of VitaPops first before letting them consume the whole pack.

Before the program ended, the special guests were joined on stage by the brand managers of VitaPops who talked more about the product and answered questions from the audience.  One suggestion that my fellow mom blogger Jenny and I gave to the brand managers was that maybe in the future, they can change the packaging to a more environment-friendly material, similar to the imported pop rocks candy where it's packed in foil-lined paper sachet.  For me, VitaPops is still a winning product.

This latest product innovation from Unilab will definitely help a lot of parents who have a hard time getting their kids to take their daily vitamins.  Some of the moms with me at the event even confessed that their kids got quite addicted to VitaPops after the first try!  Good thing there is no risk of Vit. C overdose.  Up to 2 sachets a day of VitaPops is recommended, or as directed by a physician.

We all had so much fun at the event.  A bonus for me was meeting these two beautiful celebrity moms I admire. =)
