My Design Pegs from Gus* Modern

Elegant, minimalist, modern, eco-friendly, timeless. That's how I would describe the Gus* Modern Collection of practical, well-designed, industrial-grade furniture.

A few weeks ago, I was invited to visit Gus* @ Design Pod in Greenhills to view their collections, some of which are on sale!

I am actually a frustrated fashion and interior designer, so I really appreciate fine architecture and interiors, and beautifully made furnishings. And that is why I also have this Home-Style section on the blog, featuring real homes for design inspiration.

Anyway, as I entered the studio, first thing that caught my eye was this modern and versatile Spencer Loft tufted sofa in the center... and the rest of the sleek tufted pieces they have which I really liked.

Moving along, here's another stunning piece, my favorite among the living room collections -- the Atwood Series sectional here, and on top photo. Our sofa's shape and finish is very similar to this, except ours is not tufted.

This Jane Bi-sectional, on the other hand, is designed for set-up flexibility and can be configured as either right or left facing. It features a button-tufted cushions and stainless steel perimeter base.

Those three sofas up there are my favorites. Gus* sofas are industrial-grade, made with memory foam/polyurethane, and has steel base framing. They are truly investment pieces for the home. I just wish I could afford them so I can change and upgrade our living room furnishings! :)

Gus* also offers modern tufted leather pieces like this, which reminded me of the iconic Mies van der Rohe's Barcelona chair.

Here are some unique accent tables that can be great conversation pieces for the home:

Lightbox that can be used as an ottoman, a side or coffee table.

Prairie Nest Table is another eye-catching creation, cut in the shape of the map of Canadian Prairie provinces.

Clear Timber Table and multi-use Stump Storage Box both with wood grain design  -- great as end tables or nightstand.

This sturdy, solid walnut dining table is just beautiful and seamless. Perfectly crafted to last for years.

Gus* produces occasional chairs that are innovative and durable like this upholstered Upcycle Ottoman, made from repurposed jute coffee bags.  This bright orange GT Rocker stands out with it's playful color, retro-style design and powder-coated steel base.

Top quality fabrics are also available to customize select furniture pieces to match your interiors.
